Creating Works is one profile and three tools. DayBalancer helps you tend to yourself. Appear Network helps you tend to your network. 2Gather helps you tend to community. What you share in one place shapes what reaches you in all three and this policy covers all three together.
Creating Works is operated by DayBalancer LLC. We treat your data with the same care and respect we would our own. We run a platform where you define, express, and share who you are, what you offer and what you seek. There are no hidden revenue streams and no data-sharing arrangements with advertisers.
We designed our business model around protecting your information. We hold transparent and ethical relationships with the people who use our platform.
This policy describes the software as it runs today. Where a protection is planned rather than built, we say so in the section that covers it. We would rather tell you what is here now than describe something you cannot yet rely on.
This policy sits alongside our terms of service and our code of conduct.
We collect the following information so you can share what you offer and find what you seek:
One profile carries you across all three tools, so what you write in one place can reach you in another. This section describes how that works today and we want you to read it before you fill in a profile.
Behind a sign-in: DayBalancer, Appear Network, and 2Gather run inside an app you sign into with your email address.
Open by link: Any profile pages on Appear or 2Gather are seen by anyone holding the link. You choose what goes on your Appear page and 2Gather event profile. You can take anything off it at any time. Before you type something into a need, consider whether you would say it to a stranger. This covers everything on the page, including the needs you post and the detail you write about them.
Your information rests with the companies named in section 6.
When we show you as a match for jobs, neither of you sees the other's name or photo. You each decide from the compatibility between you and the reasons behind it, so a connection starts from what you each bring. You request a connection and when the other person says yes, your full profiles open to each other.
Your own Appear page works differently and opens to anyone holding the link, as section 3 describes.
We do not sell your personal information. We share your data in these limited circumstances:

Each of these companies holds your information under its own privacy terms and we choose them for what they let us build rather than for what they let us collect.
We build parts of this software with the help of AI assistants. Your personal information is not put into an AI model for training. If we build a feature where AI reads what you wrote, we ask you before it touches your information, we tell you how it works and what it learns, and you can hold that consent back on its own without giving up anything else.
The pages we write set no cookies and run no analytics or advertising scripts. The app behind DayBalancer, Appear Network and 2Gather is built on Glide, and Glide sets one cookie that lasts three hours and records which build of the app to serve you. It holds nothing about who you are.
Your browser also keeps a small amount of information so a page can remember you between visits such as your page or event ID.
Clearing your browser storage removes these. None of them follow you to another website and none of them go to an advertiser.
You hold the following rights over your personal data:
To exercise any of these, write to hello@creating.works. A person reads that mailbox and carries out the request by hand and we answer within 30 days. There is no self-serve export or deletion button on the site yet. You can also edit or remove most of what appears on your own page yourself at any time.
We honor the rights that the General Data Protection Regulation grants people in Europe and the rights that the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act grant California residents. That covers the right to know what we hold / the right to correction / the right to deletion / the right to portability / the right to opt out of any sale of personal information. We sell no personal information, so the last of those has nothing to act on.
Every one of these requests is handled by a person at hello@creating.works rather than by an automated tool. When your data crosses a border it does so inside the infrastructure of the companies named in section 6, under the transfer terms each of them publishes.
Our services are for people who are 18 or older. During registration we ask you to confirm that you are at least 18 and we record your answer with the date you gave it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we hold information from someone under 18, we delete it promptly. If you believe we hold information about a person under 18, write to hello@creating.works.
Our operating agreement holds no shares that can be sold and no equity that appreciates, so there is no exit event that could carry your information off as part of a deal. Moving substantially all of what the company holds takes the consent of every member and the agreement names data stewardship as an obligation each member carries personally.
If the company ever winds down, the agreement sends what remains to the commons or to a community organization that shares our purpose. Your personal information moves only to an organization that holds it under this policy or a stronger one. We tell you before that happens and you can export or delete your information first.
We update this policy when our practices change or when the law calls for it. We tell you about a significant change by updating the effective date at the foot of this page and by sending notice through email or through the platform. This version takes effect on July 31, 2026 and replaces the version of July 21, 2026. Earlier versions stay published at their own addresses, linked from the foot of this page.
